Giroud: My Chelsea Stint Was More Successful

Former Blues striker reflects on his time at Stamford Bridge

Olivier Giroud has claimed that his three-year spell at Chelsea was more successful than he had anticipated.

The French striker joined the Blues from Arsenal in January 2018 and went on to win the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League during his time at the club.

Giroud told Chelsea's official website: "I think it was more than successful. I won three trophies, which is amazing. I played with great players and I learned a lot from them."

The 34-year-old added that he is grateful for the opportunity to have played for Chelsea and that he will always cherish the memories he made there.

"I want to thank the fans, the staff and the players for everything. I will never forget my time at Chelsea," he said.

Giroud left Chelsea in the summer of 2021 and joined AC Milan, where he has continued to score goals and win trophies.
